This is my grandpa Clifford’s 56 Danelectro U2. It’s been begrudgingly coerced into the best playing condition of its life by my friend Scott Pike at the Guitar Shop. No truss rod – ruler flat neck, new radius, new frets, new nut, new tuners, new bridge, new pick guard, new custom electronics cover, new toggle switch, new tone pots. Original caps, pickups, neck, body, concentric vol/ tone knobs, strap buttons, cigarette burns, paint/ lacquer. It’s set up with 11 – 50s and freaking rocks! I also have to thank Steve Hodgden and Wendy Newhouse Hodgden for keeping it safe for me for 26 years! Unbelievable!
